We berate ourselves with past failures and our imperfections; then for relief from this insidiousness we flip to hedonistic ego centered behavior where we judge others equally as harshly, thereby making it easier to righteously proclaim ourselves to a superior status. What point does it all serve, whom does this false validation serve? No one at all!
Till we cease these outmoded patterns of being in the world, we will remain trapped on the vicious treadmill of the ego. Like a laboratory rat that can not stop running on its little revolving wheel, even though all he needs to have his freedom is to stop and be still.
This stillness does not mean we can not be in the world or do. We have to do
– doing is our means of survival in this world.
But we can do and yet be in internal stillness. This place of internal stillness
is our eternal resurrection. The death of ego thoughts, the stilling of the
restless mind reclaims our peace and is the true resurrection of our spirit.
Our wholly spirit is larger than the sum of all our earthly deeds and riches.
It is the sum of our love and of our ability to surrender. We are all able to
reach resurrection, no sin is too large to bar the way from us, and all that
hinders us is our inability to forgive others and ourselves of our own trespasses.
In all your striving, and wander lust seeking you can not find peace, you can
only reside in peace. Like a phoenix from the ashes redeem your true nature
and arise NOW to resurrection.

REJECTION THE ULTIMATE LESSON
Many wise Gurus and teachers repeatedly send away eager seekers who request
to be their students. One such guru sent away a wishful student seven times.
Upon his eighth application the young man asked “Oh Baba why do you send
me away so harshly, why will you not teach me?” The Guru replied “My
son I have been teaching you all along! But Master, you have not taught me!”
the student beseeched. “Dear child you are wrong, I have taught you the
greatest of all lessons rejection, and yet you willing have persisted in your
pursuit with an eager and open heart. So you have learnt the greatest of all
teachings! Now you may enter.”
So it is the way with life- at the core of all our painful challenges lays some form of rejection. It began perhaps from the first time our mother refused our demands to be coddled or to breast feed us. Or maybe even earlier, when our mother’s body resisted our first instinctive impulse to be born and we struggled and squirmed and pushed our passage through the dark contracting void squawking into the light. The worst possible scenario was that we were not wanted by our parents or made welcome. There was no safe place for us at all. Extreme lesson number one!
Thus it continues either we are rejected, or we are reject ourselves or others
or God. We become disconnected, split off and lost.
The troubled mind focuses with deadly accuracy upon this our rejected, rejecting
bitter sour ego. There is no place for love only for unlove, unrest. The river
of unlove is treacherously dark muddy and turbulent.
The child learns this lesson unconsciously quickly and by rote.
When the child’s innocence is lost their wounding can be revengeful to
the extreme, they unthinkingly hurt other children’ by refusing to play,
and by taking back their toys or by outright vicous bullying. The school playground
can be a battleground, a horrid hotbed of rejection. Each and every relationship
one has, proffers opportunities to be rejected or to reject. Even the family
cat or dog can get into the act, just bare witness to how many pets are treated
cruelly or abandoned.
What is it we are meant to learn from these cruel rejecting patterns?
Can it be as simple or as basic as love? Can we in fact love unconditionally?
I sincerely doubt that this is so, as much as I wish it to be true. No! Unconditional
love is neither the cure nor the core learning though it may stem systematically
from such. I believe it is the knowingness at a deep and sustainable level—“that
we are indeed not separate that we, in fact everything in the cosmos is connected
and integral to existence.”
The RETURN TO ONENESS is simultaneously the greatest of all our fears and the
greatest of all learning’s. Only when we can fully accept the truth that
we are not separate, and truly know that we are all conjoined by an infinite
web of supreme consciousness can this be rectified. The difficulty is that we
cannot accept this knowledge in our minds only; it has to be a total surrender
to a absolute knowingness-- in our hearts, and minds and anchored into each
and every cell of our being. Knowledge that we are God! We are the illusion
and the creator of the illusion, then and only then are we are freed from further
rejection. And yes slowly bit by bit like pieces of a jigsaw miraculously coming
together realization dawns. Oft times the wisdom call is so bright so honest
and full that illumination glows hence forth and you are as a beacon to others.
Drop then to your knees and in sincere grace give thanks to all those harsh
perpetrators of your rejection lessons. Quickly before the mind has the chance
to strike again like a panther on the prey and the struggle recommences. And
yes it is bitter, but if you have learnt anything at all from these lessons
of rejection: - Then you know you can not fight rejection with rejection, you
must love your mind hold it to the light of illumination in love. Knowing that
which observes and upholds is not separate, that the dawn will shine again and
consciousness will once more resume.
Like small mega bites of your personal computer’s memory that link together
with the assistance of a Modem to create the World Wide Web if that is not amazing
enough? Know the wonder of the WWW can not begin to compare to your divine connection
(Modem) to the cosmic consciousness.
Recognize that rejection is your divine starting place. GO!
