Meditation is an acquired art- to some it may come more easily than to others. Many struggle with the concept of stilling their minds without realizing that we all enter in and out of this still meditative /Hypnotic' state many times per day. So in fact they already innately know how to practice meditation and just need to realize or recall how to consciously induce this natural state of being. At YAHA all our Yoga classes finish with a Yoga Nidra ( Yogic sleep state) and a short meditation. For those who find meditation a challenge or who wish to deepen their Meditation practice we provide ACTIVE MEDITATION CLASSES.

In Active meditation rather than passive meditation we learn to focus the conscious mind, similar to the taming of a wild brumby by a compassionate horse whisperer and then being able to ride this wild animal without a saddle or bridle. The mind can seem a contrary opponent at times yet their is a gentle master in your consciousness that is far greater than your minds ego. We all are masters of manifestation and creative visualization but unfortunately use these methods with an unconscious focus and what is made manifest is not always in our best interest. Your fears shall seek you! You have at your command a huge magnetic energy resource, it truly behoves you to learn to treat this with utmost consciousness.

Have you ever spent time worry about imagined future events planning to the finest detail how this forecasted doom shall befall you or your loved ones? This is a highly creative form of visualization- pretty grim and negative but extremely creative! Your unconscious is a huge storehouse a mish mash of ancient memories/ conditioned responses and outmoded belief systems. These need to be identified, cleared and transformed. Active meditation gives you the tools to do this-- its like defragging the unconscious mind. This form of meditation befriends your imagination and harnesses its power. Active meditation delivers immeadiate results- after the very first session you will feel a release from stress increased vitality and emotional wellbeing.
