YAHA is affiliated with "The Australasian Yoga Institute" and "Yoga First" via our affiliation you can study for and gain your Yoga Teachers qualifications. Qualifications are either AYT 200 or AYT 500 levels both can be acheived by a combination of long distance education for Theory & Anatomy Section and the practical section (Yoga Asana's) in situ in YAHA's beautiful Marmion Studio. Firstly Kali will observe your yoga practise and inform you if you have reached a significant standard to commence your teacher training- you also need a certain level of maturity, life experience and people skills to undertake TEACHER TRAINING. Your commitment would be to attend at least 3 Yoga Classes a week and relevant workshops and retreats which you recieve at a discounted rate. You will also need to attend a First Aid Course with St Johns Ambulance or relevant institution. Trainee teachers are asked to participate in Karmic Yoga at some of the fund raising charity events held by YAHA yoga. The modules can be covered at your own pace- most students do complete their course within 18 months~ although this depends on the individuals circumstances. Training with YAHA will assist you to become an extrordinary teacher as the studio provides in depth Raja Yoga (spiritual & meditation) Pranayama and Nada Yoga education. At YAHA we have a wonderful Sangha (Yoga Community) so training even though it takes disipline and a deep commitment on your behalf will be a joyfull life changing experience.
